Bournemouth International Triathlon

Bournemouth International Triathlon is located on the east side of Bournemouth Pier. Both sprint and standard distance swims start on the award winning blue flag beach before heading out of Bournemouth on a fast bike course towards the market town of Ringwood on the edge of The New Forest.

The PB smashing run course is along the seafront promenade towards Boscombe Pier with amazing views of The Isle of Wight on the way out and of The Purbecks on the way back.

Challenging Events have taken over the running of the event, from Off-Beat Events, for 2018 season and we plan to keep the festival’s proud tradition of a well run, friendly but challenging event.

Hi

Firstly thank you for being patient and bearing with us. I have spent many hours pouring over these results with the raw data from the chip recording boxes.

Why are the results so late?

A number of reasons, ranging from failed detections (chips under wetsuits, swimmers missing starting mat, finish mat, technology and water not mixing!)

We also had to match up the people that changed to the 2.5k event midway through.

It simply just took us more time than it should and for which we are truly sorry.

It was our first time putting the long swim on at Bournemouth and although we didnt have these problems at Swanage we will be making changes for next year. For a start we will manually time the event with our timing app!

Kindest regards

Good evening.

We have been working hard on the long swim times, which is proving to be more complicated than we first thought.

Please bear with us as we go through the data, again and again, to ensure we can post the finish times the best we can.

Thank you
Kelly

Congratulations!
