The Malton 10K ('Marathon Du Malton 10K')

Bonjour and welcome to "Britain's Tastiest 10K"

Inspired by the Marathon Du Medoc in France's wine region, this gourmet food and wineathlon event starts and finishes in Malton's Market Place then goes through an area of Yorkshire famous for its award-winning local produce and beautiful countryside.

For spectators not taking part in the 10K a Street Food Sunday event will be taking place in Malton with the start/finish line right alongside the pop-up picnic area and the York Mix Radio Roadshow with live music and entertainment from 10.30am to 5pm.

We offer three types of entry:

  • The Malton 10K ('Le Sans Arrêt') entry is for those who are more interested in their time. It's just you vs the clock!
  • 'Le Classique' entry is a 10K fun run with optional food themed fancy dress and a selection of Artisan food and drink stops along the way
  • 'L'escargot' entry is a 10K walk for those who want to take a more leisurely stroll around the course and savour the Artisan food and drink stops along the way. This one is also great for families and dog walkers too
Numbers for 'Le Classique' and 'L'escargot' entries are strictly limited because we need to organise catering for all the food and drink stops along the course - so do not delay, book your place today!

The course is a mix of urban and rural landscapes, so may not be suitable for all. However at previous events we have had a participant in a wheelchair who completed the course with the help of their friends lifting the chair over the kissing gates while they hobbled through the gates. Previously a couple completed the course with a runners buggy.

This is much more than just a race, the Marathon Du Malton 10K is an experience!

If you are in any doubt as to the amount of fun had by all taking part then just look online #marathondumalton

As per UK Athletics guidance, The Malton 10K ('Le Sans Arret') and 'Le Classique' are only available to those over 15 years of age. For licensing purposes only over 18’s are permitted to consume alcoholic samples.
