Northants 5K Race Series - Race 2
Northants 5K Race Series
The Northants 5K Race Series is now in its 9th year and has become a regular fixture in the county's annual running calendar. With hundreds of runners taking part last year, including club runners, jogging groups and those who are completely new to running, the 5k Race Series offers something for everyone. Please note: As the Northants 5K Race Series is licensed by UK Athletics all entrants must be 11 years of age or older.
The 2021 Series will include 5 trail races. All 5 races are multi-terrain courses taking in some of Northamptonshire's beautiful parklands and woodlands. All finishers will receive one of our bespoke 5K Race medals – a different one to collect at each race.

Boughton House 5K
Hi all,Please find attached the Race Briefing for Race 2 at Boughton House on Sunday. Please ensure you read all the information prior to race day. I have also attached some directions from Boughton Estates team. The postcode covers such a large area, so if using a sat nav, please ignore it as soon as you start to see the brown tourist signs for Boughton House and follow these instead. Another warning that there will be sheep on some of the route. These will not trouble you. Each time i have been there they have run away as soon as they see people. And with sheep does come their deposits.... so don't wear your best trainers! On arrival head for the red nsport gazebo and you will be issued with your Race Number. We will be starting in waves. Around the start area you will see 7 yellow signs with an approx finish time. If you head to the one that best reflects the time you are aiming for. You will be called to the start line when it is your groups time. Please continue to socially distance within these groups. You will go over the start mat one by one. UPDATE - Northants 5K Race Series 2021
Hi all,
Hope you are all keeping well during these difficult times? We are still hoping to run the 2021 Northants 5K Race Series and currently as 2020 participants you are booked on and your place is secure. I am happy to confirm the dates/venues for the races:
- Race 1 - Delapre Abbey - Wednesday 28th April
- Race 2 - Salcey Forest - Wednesday 19th May
- Race 3 - Boughton House - Sunday 20th June
- Race 4 - Brixworth Country Park - Wednesday 14th July
- Race 5 - Sywell Country Park - Sunday 12th September
We are currently putting together our Covid-19 procedures. These may include starting in waves so I will be back in touch with you all to get an estimated 5K time. Start times may be slightly different from previous years - but will aim to get all in a 20 minute window of the usual times. (7.30pm Wednesday races, 10.30am Sunday races)
If you want to keep your place on the 2021 Northants 5K Race Series you do not need to do anything. I will contact you again to double check T shirt size (Whole Race Series) and 5K time estimate.
If you are now unable to make the dates we are offering another refund window. This refund window will be open from Monday 1st February and will close on Friday 12th February 2021. If you would like a refund, just email me: [email protected] with your full name and the race entered (or Whole Race Series) and I will sort the refund for you.
If you have already received a refund but are still appearing on this mailing list, apologies - please do ignore this message. The contacts and race entrants doesn't seem to be syncing currently.
