Northants 5K Race Series - Race 3

Northants 5K Race Series

The Northants 5K Race Series is now in its 9th year and has become a regular fixture in the county's annual running calendar. With hundreds of runners taking part last year, including club runners, jogging groups and those who are completely new to running, the 5k Race Series offers something for everyone. Please note: As the Northants 5K Race Series is licensed by UK Athletics all entrants must be 11 years of age or older.

The 2021 Series will include 5 trail races. All 5 races are multi-terrain courses taking in some of Northamptonshire's beautiful parklands and woodlands. All finishers will receive one of our bespoke 5K Race medals – a different one to collect at each race.

No refunds given, but can transfer to another race if space available.


Credits

  • You may exchange your entry for a Credit FREE of cost until 14/07/2020.
  • You will have 12 months (from the date of the event) to spend your credit. You may also use your credit to enter someone else.

Hi all, well done to all that raced yesterday evening - it was a tough course! Apologies for all those hills! The race results are up and if you haven't already received a text with the link - it is: https://racesignup.co.uk/nsport.php

If you didn't race yesterday you can still collect your medal by completing the Virtual 5K - just email me and i will pop your medal in the post - please note i am on annual leave until 29th July, but will send out when i am back. 

On medals - we have been made aware that a couple of medals have been mixed up - the blue ribbon is a Brixworth medal, just check that the image/name on the medal say Brixworth, if it doesn't - email me and i will send you out a new one.

Hope to see you at the next race - Sywell Country Park (it is flat, i promise) on Sunday 12th September 10:30am

Hi all, Please find attached the Race Briefing for Race 3 at Brixworth Country Park on Wednesday 14th July. Please ensure you read all the information prior to race day. We are continuing with the wave starts, so look out for the yellow signs and stand at the time where you think you will finish, but we aim to have a steady trickle of people over the start mats, so all should be started within 10 minutes of the start time. Please head to the red gazebo to pick up your race number - please note, even if you are running multiple Northants 5K Race Series races, you will need a new number for each as these will be set up with the timing system. Any other numbers used will not produce a result/time for you. Any questions please do contact me via joanna.danvers@northamptonshiresport.org See you tomorrow evening :)

UPDATE - Northants 5K Race Series 2021

Hi all,

Hope you are all keeping well during these difficult times? We are still hoping to run the 2021 Northants 5K Race Series and currently as 2020 participants you are booked on and your place is secure. I am happy to confirm the dates/venues for the races:


  • Race 1 - Delapre Abbey - Wednesday 28th April*
  • Race 2 - Salcey Forest - Wednesday 19th May
  • Race 3 - Boughton House - Sunday 20th June
  • Race 4 - Brixworth Country Park - Wednesday 14th July 
  • Race 5 - Sywell Country Park - Sunday 12th September


I tried to keep similar dates/venues to the 2020 dates, but i did have to swap around Race 4 and 5. In 2020 this would have been the Sywell race, it is now the Brixworth race. Please let me know if you would like me to move you to the Sywell race which is now on the 12th September.


We are currently putting together our Covid-19 procedures. These may include starting in waves so I will be back in touch with you all to get an estimated 5K time. Start times may be slightly different from previous years - but will aim to get all in a 20 minute window of the usual times. (7.30pm Wednesday races, 10.30am Sunday races)


If you want to keep your place on the 2021 Northants 5K Race Series you do not need to do anything. I will contact you again to double check T shirt size (Whole Race Series) and 5K time estimate.


If you are now unable to make the dates we are offering another refund window. This refund window will be open from Monday 1st February and will close on Friday 12th February 2021. If you would like a refund, just email me: Joanna.danvers@northamptonshiresport.org with your full name and the race entered (or Whole Race Series) and I will sort the refund for you. 


If you have already received a refund but are still appearing on this mailing list, apologies - please do ignore this message. The contacts and race entrants doesn't seem to be syncing currently.

Yes! Apologies! Definitely is BRIXWORTH. Race Briefing coming out later today. We swapped some of the routes around from 2020 - which is why still has Sywell map. I will delete now :)
