Halifax Marathon & Half Marathon
Taking place on July 1st, the 2018 Halifax Marathon is going to be a great way to bring your summer to an exciting and fulfilling start. Incorporating a half Marathon and fun run plus lots of other activities at the event HQ. It's already on many "to-do" lists for the year!
The Route: is certainly a bit different. With a single lap for Half-Marathon runners and two for the Marathon, its a hilly opening few miles before a kinder run in to the finish. It's challenging, it's hilly and it's very much a taste of Halifax, with urban, upland, woodland and industrial heritage all mixed together!
The Event Ethos: This is no ordinary marathon. It is a unique, bespoke, family event with the option of a half marathon .
The Entertainment: On the well marked course you will be supported by a whole host of people, local running groups and charities etc. The fuel and drink station will have snacks & drinks ready for you as you pass by.
The Charities: Our charity partners for 2018 are still TBC they will be handing you out your finishers bags containing your t-shirt + medal. looking after you on the route and generally being the people cheering you on throughout the day.
How to Enter The Event: In order to keep this marathon special, entries are restricted to just 600 for 2018 these are on a first come first served basis
Entry types: Enter early for the best deals, all entry include finishers medal & t-shirt and at Halifax its free parking
First: Male and Female finishers £70 cash.
Second: Male and Female £35 Cash.
Third: Male and Female £20 Cash.
No vouchers, straight forward cash!
Tech-t and medal for all finishers + a whole heap of spot prizes

Refunds
We do NOT offer refunds for any event entry. At the moment you enter a Team OA event, we incur costs for processing your registration. Weeks before an event all medals, t-shirts and food etc are paid for from your race entry. Where a charity is involved there may have also been a donation made on your behalf. Inline with all other UK based race organisations from January 25, 2014 we no longer offer refunds.

Good morning all...
One of our teams of event staff has pulled out unable to muster their volunteers for Saturday. This leaves us in a bad situation, we are short of 8 volunteers so that we can run a safe fun event for you!
If you have friends or family joining you this weekend ask them if they would be able to support the whole event as well as you, they really could be saving the day!
We need 4 people around finish line start and registration, to hand out medals and shirts and keep the water station stocked up as well as assist with baggage area. 09:00 to 14:30
Another 4 people at an aid station handing out drinks etc, from 10:15 to 14:30 (we ave a sweeper so this will possibly be sooner)
All would have to meet at Dean Clough at 09:00. Aid station will be set up and taken down for you and we will provide all hi viz etc, free entry to another Team OA event... www.teamoa.co.uk
