Holme Valley MRT Rescue Ride 2018

Rescue Rides is a great way of fundraising for the Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team! It is a cycling event for both road and off-road bikes. It is not a race but personal challenge and enjoy the scenery whilst raising money for the Team. The event starts and finishes at the Team’s headquarters in Marsden and offers a choice of distances, terrain and difficulty.

All routes start and finish at the teams HQ where light refreshments are available for everyone completing the course (included with entry) and to purchase for you supporters.

Early entry and under 16 discounts available.

Entries will be accepted on the morning of the event at our HQ.

This year we have set the ambitious target to raise £5000 towards new waterproofs for all our on call volunteers, profits from entries 100% go towards equipping our members to take on the harshest of conditions.

The Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team is a voluntary organisation relying totally on public donations for funding. As well as our main Mountain Rescue duties searching for and assisting people in difficulty on the surrounding hills and moors, many of our call outs involve assisting the ambulance and fire services recover casualties from difficult or remote locations or during severe weather conditions and assisting the Police in urban searches for missing persons. All the money raised by this event will go directly to the team.
