The Maverick Buff X - Yorkshire Dales
We welcome you to a whole new series; the Maverick X Series events are designed to test your resolve and take you to the upper limits of your abilities. We're venturing to the Yorkshire Dales to Malham Tarn a glacial lake 1,237ft above sea level making it the highest lake in England.
The route takes in some incredible locations such as Gordale Scar a limestone ravine that contains 2 waterfalls and has overhanging limestone cliffs over 100 meters high. The gorge was formed by melting glaciers. You will take in breathtaking views over the dales.
Part of the route has been used in the Harry Potter films - an eye catching amphitheatre called Malham Cove. This route will be challenging and with it being an early event in thecalendar the conditions could be pretty testing.
Gates open: 7:00am
Registration: 7:30am
Race Start: 9:00am
We have 3 routes for you to choose from, please select carefully the X-Series is not for the faint hearted. You can expect up to 4 on-course hydration and nutrition outposts provided by Skratch Labs. There will also be prizes for the winners of each distance, male and female.
This event is dog friendly.
