Northants 5K Race Series - Race 1
Northants 5K Race Series
The Northants 5K Race Series is now in its 8th year and has become a regular fixture in the county's annual running calendar. With hundreds of runners taking part last year, including club runners, jogging groups and those who are completely new to running, the 5k Race Series offers something for everyone.
The 2019 Series will include 5 trail races. All 5 races are multi-terrain courses taking in some of Northamptonshire's beautiful parklands and woodlands. All finishers will receive one of our bespoke 5K Race medals – a different one to collect at each race.
Course Info:
The first race is the amazing course at Deene Park, the beautiful home of the Brudenell family situated in the stunning countryside of East Northamptonshire.
Deene Park is a ring fenced estate, bisected by the A43 road linking Corby to Stamford. The estate is centred on Deene Park with its medieval hall and designed landscape, gardens and parkland.
The 5km Route will take you through the lovely gardens and a mix of woodland, cattle fields (minus the cattle) before bringing you past the stunning house on the finish straight. An updated race route from 2018. We would like to thank Brudenell Estates for all their help in putting this course together and allowing access to this wonderful site.

Race Information for Deene Park Race
Good Morning,
Apologies if you have received this previously, we have had a few last minute entries.
We hope you are looking forward to the first race of the 2019 Northants 5K Race Series as much as we are? I have attached a couple of documents for you to have a read through before Race Day. There will also be a Race Briefing before the start of each race. I have included the map of the route.
Deene Park can be accessed from the Kirby Lane entrance. There will be signage and staff to get you on site and parked efficiently. There is a parking fee of £2. Please make sure you bring cash (ideally the correct amount, to keep traffic moving)
Once parked, head towards the red NSport gazebo through the gardens where you will register. Race 1 will start promptly at 7.15pm - as light may not be on our side later on.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected]
Looking forward to seeing you this evening
