Northants 5K Race Series

The Northants 5K Race Series is now in its 8th year and has become a regular fixture in the county's annual running calendar. With hundreds of runners taking part last year, including club runners, jogging groups and those who are completely new to running, the 5k Race Series offers something for everyone.

The 2019 Series will include 5 trail races. All 5 races are multi-terrain courses taking in some of Northamptonshire's beautiful parklands and woodlands. All finishers will receive one of our bespoke 5K Race medals – a different one to collect at each race.

Course Info:

The picturesque Salcey Forest will this year host Race2 of the Northants 5k series. We would like to thank the Forestry Commission for allowing us to host the race at Salcey again this year after successful races in the last 3 years. Multi terrain course within the Forest trails in woodland surroundings. Voted the favourite route of 2018!

Race 2 Provisional Results - Salcey Forest

Hi all and a very well done for yesterday! What a lovely evening over at Salcey Forest! Perfect running weather!

I have attached the 'Provisional' Results from the race yesterday. As the race is timed manually we allow a few days for any issues to be highlighted, investigated and changed (if needed) before publishing the results as 'Final' and uploading them onto the Run Britain website. So, if you notice any issues, including;

1. Name spelt incorrectly or missing 
2. Gender incorrect
3. Wrong or missing age category
4. Incorrect number with name
5. Timing way off what you would expect
6. Club name not present.

Race 2 - Salcey Forest - Race Information

Good Evening,

Apologies if you have received this before. We have had some additional entrants join us. I have attached a couple of documents for you to have a read through before Race Day. There will also be a Race Briefing before the start of each race. I have included the map of the route.

When you arrive at Salcey Forest please head for the main car park where you will be directed to a space. The Car Park only holds 200 cars so please park considerately, or car share to allow as many cars as possible in the main car park. We also have use of the overflow carpark. Although this is a 5 minute walk to the start line. Please make sure you leave plenty of time to park and register. The charge to park is £1.50 (up to an hour) and £4.00 (1 hour +) 

Once parked, head towards the red NSport gazebo following the signs for 'Event Control' this is where you will register and pick up your race number. Event Control opens at 6.15pm. Why not register early and head over to Grounds Cafe - who have stayed open especially for this 5K Race.
