Castleshaw 24
A twenty-four-hour endurance event, for teams or solo runners, taking place around a 5km course in and around the incredibly beautiful valley that surrounds Castleshaw, West Yorkshire.

A 5 kilometer loop set in the valley The track winds its way through this amazing wild playground, one minute you will be on man-made gravel tracks the next you will be following natural sheep trails and then open fields. Its a truly fantastic course that will be forever changing, as you make the transition from day to night and back again.
but... all food included in entry fee.

During these times hot food will be available for all at event HQ 2 minutes from the campsite. Yes we know they are 1.5 hour periods, somehow 'Pizza one and a half hours' didn't sound as good!

Hoodie / Shirt please make sure we have your size, let us know during when you sign up.! These will be available for you to collect at registration.
First-person to break the 140 mile barrier (solo) £250 cash,

Hello, its a sad day and one we didn’t think we would be repeating again after 2021…
Today we have had to make the very difficult final decision to cancel this years Oldham Way Ultra CS24 on 09h June.
This decision has taken a few days to make and is in no way done lightly, there are several factors we have had to consider;
The main one is the advice from our insurance providers who simply do not see a way that they could cover an event of this nature at this point in time, there is still no definitive answer from the governing bodies we work with as to how and when full scale events can proceed, regardless of government guidance we are restricted by what they allow us to do.
Other considerations we have two take are:
Venue
Route
Staff
Safety
We have still had no positive news from the venue regarding using them on the 9th, we have tried other venues and looked at other options but as you can imagine its the same everywhere at present.
Staff, we have as always had many offers of help from your friends and family, we know we can manage the event safely through the beginning stages but as the event goes on and both staff and participants become tired and weary, we do not feel that they can be adequately kept safe.
Please note;
Team OA. who initially managed the Castle Shaw 24 has ceased trading due to covid restrictions on events, the CS24 is now managed by Organic Adventure. Organic Adventure are more than happy to carry your entry over to the 2022 event, you do not need to do anything, this will happen Automatically for you. As of this moment there is no date for 2022, this will happen as soon as we can have confirmation from all involved, insurance, venues, authorities etc.
Please bare with us while we move forward to 2022, stay safe not just with your running and we will see you on the CS24 start line in 2022

Events 2020
All 2020 events from April 1st through to August 31st will be moved to 2021 dates as follows, please see image.
Your Entry
All entries already registered and paid up to May 7th 2020, will automatically move forward to the 2021 date above, if the 2021 date is not suitable we will move your entry over to the 2022 date for you. This can only be done in the month leading up to the event so please do not send us emails requesting this now as we will not be able to process them. We are hopeful that we will not have to add any events later in the year to the list.
If you have already entered and paid your entry fee you do not need to do anything further. There will be no name changes or additional transfers for any of these places, they are yours for either 2020 or 2021.
Refunds
We wanted to inform you ourselves!
As many of you are aware there have been a few event companies go into liquidation over the past 5 to 6 weeks, leaving many people out of pocket with no option of a future event or anything. We fear many more companies will be joining them, we have lost a t-shirt supplier and at this moment we are uncertain as to where we will be able to acquire medals or other mementoes as many of those suppliers have disappeared as well.
We know at the beginning of this current situation we had mentioned that we would offer a 60% refund to those who genuinely could not make an adjusted date for an event, sadly, after looking into the situation we are now presented with now, financially we just can not offer to do this without ending the rest of the events and the business.
Other Events.
The smaller events such as Urban Night Series, 4 Seasons 10k etc will all go ahead on revised dates as soon as we have the go-ahead from the government. We are working on a few new events that will join in as midweek races and will let you have more info on these, but again won’t be able to release dates just yet!
Organic Adventure
It is not all doom and gloom and as we have always done we are evolving and growing, we have a couple of new team members joining us they are already working on the new events and will be taking over the race directing at many of the other events too (Wane knows some of you just cheered!) will tell you more about them in the next few weeks or as soon as they dare send a photo in for a little bio.
We know this is possibly not the news any of us want to hear at the moment, but we feel this is the best way to keep the events going for us all.
