The Remembrance Run 2018

On the 11 hour of the 11th day of the 11th month... We Will Remember Them...

The Remembrance Run is a unique and perfect time to mix running with one of the most important days in British history.

Our 11 mile trail run starts and ends at the Ranken Arms Pub and will take you over some beautifully challenging West Pennines terrain.. Note. at 9am (prior to race starting, there will be a 2 minute silence at the startline).

When you cross the finishline you will be rewarded with some amazing food laid on my the Ranken Arms and a very unique Remembrance Day medal to signify the day! We also hope you stay and have a drink in remembrance of the fallen who gave there today for our tomorrow.

This event in 2018 will also mark the 100 yr anniversary of the end of WW1

Race entry funds will go directly to 3 amazing charities:

The Royal British Legion

Combat Stress - The veterans mental health charity

Bolton Mountain Rescue

We want to make this event an event to remember and at the same time, raise a ton of money for these 3 amazing charities.

We have decided to have a 4 hour cut off for this event to give veterans (and others) the opportunity to tab (yomp) the distance with full weighted bergan and boots too! (If you are thinking of tabbing this event with full military weight. Your bergan weight should be 55lbs!)

We invite you to set up a fundraising page to raise money for one or more of our chosen charities.. or maybe a military charity of your choice.
