Marlow Classic River Swim
There are 2 distances to choose from this year that will cater for both beginners and experienced swimmers.
River Swim - Consisting of a single lap out and back swim in the River Thames for all the distances with clear markings on the buoys on when to turn. The River has a very calm and steady flow, which makes it the perfect event for anyone looking to take part in their first swim.
99% of the time, wetsuits have to be worn for this event due to the temperature of the water, generally in the UK and Thames Valley most of the water is between 14 degree Celsius & 22 degrees Celsius.
The temperature of the water is always taken at least one hour before an event to determine if wetsuits must be worn.
PRIZES:There will prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Overall male and female.
All the events will be supported by our race and event partners.
Bespoke Medals for ALL finishers.

24/06/2018 18:40:49Hi, thoroughly enjoyed the event today. Had a lot of fun and loved the race. Only down side was the size and colour of the bouys. I don't have great eyesight and really struggled to see the purple bouys. I'd love it if they were bigger and a more contrasting colour to the water!

24/06/2018 16:55:45Hi Would just like to say great event enjoyed the swim. However was very lucky we arrived earlier than planned as we only JUST made the start. All correspondence and emails as well as information on the website and Facebook said 9 am start. There was no other information on briefing times, or even to inform us of the fact it started at 8.30 am more importantly. I think this needs communicating better in the future .
