Marlow Classic Sprint Distance Triathlon

This is the 9th year of the Marlow Sprint & Olympic Distance Triathlon, consisting of a river swim, cycling and running. The event has attracted 1000s of participants over the year and is open to all levels of participant and encourages first time triathletes to the event.

The Swim course is in the River Thames. It is designed to make even the weakest swimmer get a fast swim split.

The Bike course for the Olympic Distance is 37km and is undulating, but otherwise it is flat and fast. The Sprint Distance bike course is 24.5km - It is out and back and only has two hill, but again is otherwise fast and flat.

The Run course for the Olympic Distance is a 2 Lap 5km route on Tarmac and Grass Footpaths. It meanders back towards Marlow and into the finish at Higginson Park from the river tow path. The Sprint Distance is just a 1 Lap 5km route.

WETSUIT RULES:

All the triathlon events are operated under the guidelines of the British Triathlon Federation, which is the governing body for triathlon the UK.

99% of the time, wetsuits have to be worn for this event due to the temperature of the water, generally in the UK and Thames Valley most of the water is between 14 degree Celsius & 22 degrees Celsius.

The temperature of the water is always taken at least one hour before an event to determine if wetsuits must be worn.

PRIZES:

There will prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Overall male and female, 1st Junior male and female, 1st Vet male and female.

Bespoke Medals for ALL finishers.
