Chargebacks

Chargebacks occur when a purchaser contacts their bank and disputes a payment. They may do this if they don’t remember making the purchase or are unhappy with the product or service received. When a chargeback claim is lodged by the customer, the amount they paid, plus a penalty fee is immediately deducted by our payment partner, Stripe. However, Race Space will challenge the claim, and the vast majority of the time win the challenge. In this case, you will be re-credited with the full amount to your Race Space account.

If we lose the chargeback challenge, then the amount will remain deducted from your Race Space account.

Please note that chargeback cases can take up to three months to conclude.
