Heyford Duathlon 2019

Get an insight into what went on 'Behind the Wire' at Oxfordshire's most formidable Cold War Airbase.

Set in the beautiful Cherwell Valley countryside, both distances utilise the base's runway, RAF taxiway and NATO taxiway and are therefore pancake flat, traffic-free and pretty much PB guaranteed!

Something for the whole family and a safe environment for spectators with refreshments and plenty of history around you!

Choose from either the sprint or standard distance:

  • Sprint distance: 5km run; 20km cycle; 2.5km run
  • Standard distance: 10km run; 40km cycle; 5km run

Multi-sport weekend at Heyford Airbase

The duathlon is part of a multi-sport weekend at Heyford Airbase over the 15/16 June 2019. Following on from the Duathlon, on Sunday 16 June we will also hold a running festival, with 5K, 10K or Half Marathon distances - all equally good for those venturing into racing, moving up a distance or just trying to improve times.
