Purchase In Instalments

Charge Type: Optional Who's Charged: Participant

Allowing the option to purchase by instalments instead of one lump sum can help drastically increase sales for your event.

By significantly reducing upfront costs, you get more buy-in from potential participants, earlier in the process, espcecially (but not limited to) more expensive events.

There is no charge for the Race Organiser, and a very small fee is added for the participant.

Manually managed refunds and transfers are free of charge, however can be labourious and time consuming.

Race Space had developed refund and transfer automations that can be used at additional cost which allow you to set the rules at the outset and then let participants manage themselves.

Chargeback / Dispute Management

Charge Type: Mandatory Who's Charged: Race Organiser

A chargeback is when purchaser complains to their bank about either fraudulent card use or event not meeting its statutory obligations resulting in a formal charge dispute.

Race Space will defend all chargebacks on your behalf and chargeback penalties are included in our fee.

Am I or the participant charged the Race Space fee?
Race Space is technically free for organisers and we bill the participants our fee (chargebacks and refund automations being the exception).

As an organiser, you have the ability to show the Race Space as an add-on to your ticket fee or include it in the ticket fee, but in either case, it is the participant that still pays the Race Space fee.

In this way, you'll rarely ever receive an invoice from Race Space for any operation of our systems.

Are there any other fees that are charged?
No, there's no other fees within Race Space that's not shown on this page.

If you need something special, like a new website, custom features just for your event or other support there may be additional charges, however these are optional extras and will be discussed and agreed first.

Does Race Space hold a deposit?
Yes, Race Space holds a 10% deposit for all transactions up until transactions have been fulfilled with the event completing.

Are deposits held in a segregated account?
Yes, for your security all organiser funds are held in a segregated account.

How often can I get paid?
Race Space processes payments weekly.

Is there a delay between transaction and payment?
Yes, as with all payment services there is a payment delay between transaction and when we receive the monies to pass on to you.

For Race Space this is 5 business days, and when we receive it, its added directly to your weekly payment schedule.

Can I see what items are in each payment?
Yes, Race Space gives a full breakdown of what's included in your payment schedule broken down in a number of ways like by type (ticket, merch etc) and broken down by events.
